Tonight in worship I saw myself flying above a battle that was raging below me full of so much calamity and tragedy. Suddenly I saw the scripture Acts 9:8 appear in front of me;

“Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus”

The words “Saul got up from the ground” hit me. Also interesting that it says he had his eyes open but he couldn’t see. Much like when the enemy has you so distracted by the battle he is waging against you that you in reality “can’t see” what you are meant to see like you are designed to.

This month has been a month of a territorial wrestle as I would like to call it. Many have felt the unusually unrelenting opposition, but I don’t want to focus on that, I want to get you to adjust your sights today.

Much of the warfare we face is really just to distract and rob time and focus from us because the enemy is so afraid of us seeing what God has for us. This season I believe is a time God is calling the body of Christ up to a new vantage point and accelerating and elevating us rapidly. We are finally beginning to understand the authority we possess and using it.

God was making it so clear “Get up from the ground! It’s time to come up higher! You have been living in the dust!” Maybe you can relate to that. Maybe you have unknowingly lost your fight and have accepted that you will always be under. Always opposed. Always the defeated and overcome, instead of victorious and the overcomer. Holy Spirit stir people up right now to get up out of the dust!

Right after I read that scripture I continued to worship when a new tongue came forth with a word that kept coming out over and over, “teleios” which amazingly is a Greek word which means “complete, perfect, full grown, and mature”, found in Ephesians 4:13-14;

“Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves”

This is what the enemy has been warring at you for! He doesn’t want you discovering your “full” and “mature” identity as a son/daughter of God, seated in Christ, elevated above ALL problems of the world!”

Earlier in Ephesians 4 it says that Jesus descended into the depths of the earth so he could ASCEND and He took many captives! That’s you and I!

You don’t have to live in the trenches anymore! You don’t have merely survive your life on earth battered by constant onslaught, covered in the mud and muck of the battlefield. He descended and rescued you from that and ascended so you too could ascend!

God is calling you higher today, out of the constant cycles of fear and foreboding, the hopelessness, defeat, and anxiety that is rehearsed in the trenches of misery. That’s not the overcoming life. That may have been where you have camped for a long time but today the Holy Spirit is switching the light on in the inside of you and the revelation of your authority and your inherited altitude is hitting home.

I pray that every person reading this would be set free of every mindset that has kept them in the trenches instead of soaring and living above the storms of life. You were made to soar and I prophesy this year you will rise above every distraction and noise and occupy your rightful place in Jesus name!

Declare today “I’m not going to see the same way I did before, I am coming out of the battlefield, shaking off the dirt, and coming up to a whole new realm of living in Jesus name!”

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” Colossians 3:1-3
