This afternoon I saw these words in an advertisement and they captured my attention.

Immediately I was reminded of Habakkuk 2:2 Write the vision, make it plain that those who read it may run with it.”

The Lord has been speaking to me a lot about building for the generations and leaving a legacy for the ones to come.

It is said that it takes 3 generations to establish something. God used Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to establish the nation of Israel. He had a long term vision. It’s time for us to do the same in order to see righteousness and justice established in our land.

In light of the outcome regarding samesex marriage today, I invite you to write your future. Write the vision and what you want to establish in the earth. Write for your family and the generations; write for your city and government; write for our nation.

Write in a way that causes others who see the vision to attach themselves to it and then sow it into the generations. Build something in the natural that the generations can continue to build upon and establish a thing.

Our words create worlds and I sense the Father’s encouragement to begin to speak up for our futures and for the future of our families. Build in the spirit, speak life and along with the Father, write your future.

With hope,

* I encourage you to be very intentional in this. As the new year approaches, it is a wonderful opportunity to take time to seek out the Lord and write a vision for your life and for your family. My husband and I are currently working on a 20 year vision and want to build upon that. This isn’t a New Year’s resolution or a list of goals. It’s partnering with the Holy Spirit and asking, “What are you calling me to build? How do I leave a legacy for the ones to come? Where am I called to influence? What is my role in establishing your kingdom in the earth?” The reality is that He has written the days ordained for you and loves to share His secrets with His friends!
